Overwatch League Will Allow Fans To Support Teams With Virtual Jerseys

If you’re not a fan of Overwatch, you’ve probably at least heard of it. It’s the massive new game by Blizzard that has been setting the world of e-sports on fire. It’s become such a popular game to watch, that Blizzard has introduced Overwatch League, a real-life competitive league with city-based teams competing in a regular season followed by a post-season, much like the NFL or NHL.

One of the big new introductions with Overwatch League is the team based jerseys that characters can be equipped with, making it easier to watch your favorite team play. Well, Blizzard has just announced that in addition to being able to buy these jerseys in real life, these team jerseys will also be available to buy within the game for each of the 26 characters.

It’s a big deal because it’s the first time that a competitive game will offer something like this. And 50% of the money will be given to the team itself, so it’ll be a great way to support your favorite team.

Overwatch League kicks off their inaugural season this coming January.
